We are fast accelerating into the 4.0 World as the Fourth Industrial Revolution rapidly unfolds. Many fields, industries, professions and businesses will see more transformation in the next ten years than the last fifty. We will witness the radical transformation of Business, Technology, Industry, Economy, Workforce, Jobs, and even Society and Government from the 3.0 old version to the 4.0 future reality.
In some ways, the future is already here. In 2016, the five most valuable companies in the world are technology companies. Merely five years ago, few believe in the possibility of audacious inventions, such as self-driving cars, autonomous flying taxis, robot citizenship, re-usable rockets, lab-grown edible meat, self-learning machines, in their lifetimes. Today, they are here already. But this is only the start of a new beginning. Welcome to the era of science fiction becoming instant reality.
However, our mindsets, mental models and success formulas are still 3.0-based, which will be obsolete sooner than we think. Mindset is a person’s world view and way of thinking that was conditioned from learning and experiences. In other words, it is a person’s operating system and predetermines his or her actions and interpretations, and ultimately, success or failure.
Today, almost all of us are engaged in 3.0 thinking, extrapolating 3.0 success and extending 3.0 strategies. This is not only inadequate, but risky and futile as it fails to recognise and respond to the paradigm shift and revolutionary transformation we are undergoing. Instead, we must unlearn old mindsets and adopt a whole new way of thinking for the 4.0 world. We call this Mindset 4.0.
Whether you are an executive, entrepreneur, engineer (or whatever profession you are in), a new 4.0 Mindset will help you leap ahead of the curve and competition, seize the mega-opportunities and avoid disruption and lead your organisation and yourself through this technological revolution.

“Charlie's strong message on "disruptive future is not an extension of the yesterday we know" deserves our serious attention with immediate mindset shift and behaviourial change. Especially in our approach to educating ourselves and our next generations!”
TENG THENG DAR, FORMER CEO OF SINGAPORE BUSINESS FEDERATION & CHAIRMAN OF ASIA-PACIFIC ECONOMIC COOPERATION (APEC) BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL
“Technology convergence is transforming the way we work and think, how we consume and how we relate. As an advanced economy, Singapore’s workforce will be among the first in the global economy to be impacted – bring about the threat of jobs loss and the opportunities of new possibilities. PMEs should be mindful of what trends are impacting us just around the corner to prevent us from being blind-sided – and to be invested in new skills and technology so as to be poised to be the first to enjoy the fruits of technologically-advanced economy.
Charlie has been the tireless herald of this technology wave, raising awareness and recommendations on how technology both disrupts the unprepared, and enables the prepared. He calls on all Singaporeans, all PMEs, all schools and all business to become innovation-driven. His ‘Future of Work’ series of talks and interventions will always be a source of inspiration, wonder and motivation to me and my teams at SHRI and The 8th Pinnacle.”
ETHAN TAN, PAST EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF SINGAPORE HUMAN RESOURCES INSTITUTE (SHRI)
"If we think about futurists in Singapore, Charlie will come to mind. Having known him for a few years, I have seen many of his earlier predictions coming to pass. And he is not just about the future, he studied extensively and in depth about history and technology, which gives him the context to form his views. Add to that a heart and passion to see Singapore and Singaporeans to be better prepared for the future shock, he is someone who I will recommend to take heed and listen to.”
Eric Lew, Executive Director, Wong Fong Industries, Founder, WFRID Innovation (also Inventor of Singapore’s first supercar and selected as Straits Times Singaporeans of the Year 2016)
“His talks on ‘The World is Becoming Exponential and only the Innovators Survive” and “Unleashing Innovation & Creativity” were extremely insightful and impactful for our team. The sessions provided us with a strong understanding of how rapid advances in technology are impacting the world today, and how this impact will continue to unfold in the future – in what is clearly a technological revolution. We have been left with our ‘eyes wide open’, which will enable us to more consciously shape our futures and that of the Businesses we support. Thank you, Charlie!” Miranda Malkin, Asia Pacific Major Programs Head Global Pharmaceuticals IT, GlaxoSmithKline
“Charlie’s class is revolutionary! I had a paradigm shift and greater awareness of the urgency to unlearn, learn, embrace change, celebrate innovation and excited for the unknown smart future. He deepened my business identity to be a technology provider/owner than the receiving user. I’m happy to know that what I’m doing, empowers businesses, innovate lives and much deep learning ahead.”, Co-Founder of FoodZaps Technology, Rina Loh
"Charlie is an astute thinker, engaging writer and inspirational speaker on how rapidly advancing technologies will impact the economy, business and people today and in the future. I benefited both professionally and personally from his deep insights. Thank you, Charlie!" Xander Friedländer, Senior Vice President APAC, Retail Insight
"This program is thought provoking. I would strongly recommend it to people in leadership positions who need to be quickly "hot house " into the "Disruption" era. Besides getting an accelerated "toolkit“, one is immediately networked with peers who are equally concern about the 4th industrial revolution wave. " Gerald Tan, CEO, PanAsia Logistics
"The workshop is inspiring, insightful and, most importantly, impactful! It enabled me to appreciate the Future Economy and equip me with the tools to take action.” Andy Sim, Director, Digital Innovation at National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre
“Charlie is a very engaging speaker. He is able to make something complicated, simple. I thoroughly enjoyed his talk on “The End of Business As Usual”. It is a complex subject, but he was able to explain clearly what the effects on the factors listed are. I walked away confirming some of my own understanding and learning new things in the process. For anyone, wanting to know what the future of business will be like, then you should not miss this.” Lim Kien Hwee, Divisional Director, International Enterprise Singapore
"How you think about the future changes everything about your future. Are you thinking about the future in the right way?"

“This program is a wake up call and eye opener. It is indeed much needed to stimulate radical shift in mindset, to cope with the world that is not only constantly changing, but at an accelerating pace. Thank you Charlie for sharing practical and priceless insights in this presentation and engaging discussion.” Ivan Bunarsih, 32, Research Analyst
"This is an amazing program! As a recent graduate, this workshop opened my eyes to the exciting yet disruptive scenarios of work in the process of playing out. It adjusted my mindset to be constantly ahead of the game by upgrading with new, and especially tech, skills and re-inventing my career strategies. Highly recommended for PMEs from all age groups.", Ong Jian Liang, 26 - an architect associate in international masterplanning company and recent NUS graduate
“The full day workshop is packed but never dull. It expanded my mindset, giving more clarity to the ambiguous future. The term, exponential change, is key to waves of revolutionary changes. Preparing my mind to expect these waves allows me to reinspect my current situation, and provides unfair advantage to brace for impact, or better, to capture new opportunities. While the curriculum is great, questions, discussions or even debates from fellow classmates are added bonus. It allows us to see more perspectives, bringing us to deeper understanding. I will recommend this workshop to anyone who wish to remain relevant, and to harness new opportunities that are not visible to many others.” Dean Yap, 42, formerly in banking, in career transition
